Small problem NPOI + Excel 2010. buttons switched.

I have a small and somewhat peculiar problem,
when I generate an .xls file from an xml source with HSSFWorkbook

and I open this file in excel 2010(compatibility mode) , the buttons for Financial notation and Thousands notation are switched around.

I am using NPOI 2.1.1 from the codeplex download page (not github or nuget)

The problem is not there when I open the file in excel 2003 or libreoffice calc.
when I convert to .xlsx within excel 2010 the problem also disappears.

Is this a problem of Excel 2010(compatibility mode) or of NPOI?
I tried googling this problem in terms of excel 2010(compatibility mode) but I did not find an answer.

I know this is a minor issue but thanks in advance anyway.

What button are you talking about? Are you talking about the buttons on the toolbar?

Yes the buttons on the toolbar in excel2010.
Here in the red square.

in an .xls file made by NPOI, they are switched around in functionality.
(one does what the other should do and vice versa)

I don't think NPOI have the ability to change the sequence of these buttons.

Ok, thank you.
I thought so too.

However every .xls file I find on this website( in other issues or forum threads has this issue with my excel 2007 and excel 2010 in compatibility mode.
(and again the problem disappears when converted to .xlsx from excel 2010.)
other old non-npoi .xls files that I have on my computer do not have this issue.

I can understand that NPOI cannot change the sequence of these buttons, but the behavior of excel 2007-2010 compatibility mode is strange none the less.

problem does not occur in Libreoffice Calc by the way.
